I'm reading through the rulebook and noticed that blocked cards must have their item weight accounted for, even though their effects cannot be used.
From the glossary: "Block (p. 18): To slip a card under one’s Character card. A blocked card loses all of its effects until it is unblocked, but its weight must still be taken into account." Trying to understand why this would be. Would this be a situation, for example, where a magic staff might need X turns to recharge? Or could this be a cursed item situation where you can't get rid of it? In what other scenarios would a player choose to carry around dead weight? Posted
My understanding is that some items can be broken after a while.
You throw a die and if you get a certain value it gets blocked. However, it's possible to repair them. For example, in your base, you can build "Smithy" which allow you to unblock up to 2 weapon, armor or shield between scenario. I guess some items will be good enough that you might want to carry them until you repair them. There might also be other way to repair them. I'm pretty sure there will be black-smith or shop where you could repair or exchange them. |
